Mary Alice Yates

Mary Alice Yates, age 96, of Columbus, died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She retired from Westinghouse with 27 years of service. Mary was a determined and independent woman. She enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets and for many years had a booth at the Westland Flea Market. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Yates; parents, Doris and Cy Edwards. Mary is survived by her children, Marcia (Roby) Hennis and Louis "Butch" (Sharon) Weber; grandchildren, Sam (Tami) and Zachary (Kayla) Hennis, Tammy Iannarino, and Eric (Kacey) Weber; five great grandchildren. Per Mary's wishes, she will be cremated and her remains interred privately at Sunset Cemetery; arrangements by Hope and Heart Funeral Home by Schoedinger. The family wishes to thank OSU Wexner Medical Center and Mt. Carmel Hospice and Palliative Care for the care and compassion they provided in Mary's final days.
