Maxine Caroline Reed

Maxine C. Reed, age 88, "The Fat and Sassy Lady" passed on Monday, January 29, 2018, at her home with absolute dignity and pride after a battle with lung cancer. Maxine was born September 4, 1929, in Remus, Michigan to the late Jacob and Eva (nee Galer) Snider. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved son, Bobby Lee Reed, her siblings, Orrin "Buck" and Egbert "Jim" Snider, Harold Haynes, Genevieve Lehnart, Olive Ivicic, and Eva Mae Hoffman, and her great friend Sally Haney. She is survived by 22 nieces and nephews. She was a loving, wonderful and giving friend to many, including special friends Mary Bates, Calvin Daniels, Pat Merrick, Cindy Ramsey, and Jane Swickard. A special thank you to the wonderful nursing and support staffers at Mt. Carmel Hospice for taking such wonderful and compassionate care of Maxine. Family and close friends will receive visitors from 12-2 pm Friday, February 2, 2018, at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Columbus, OH, where a prayer service will be held at 1:45 pm.
