Melba Joyce Mayo, 80 of Worthington died Tuesday, May 25, 2010. She was born August 5, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN. She was the Editor’s Choice Poet in 2009 and loved to travel extensively as a writer. She is survived by her daughter Valencia (Richard) DiPaolo, granddaughter Deanna Toops, sister Gertrude Flanagan, former husband T.C. Toops, M.D. (ret). Family will receive friends Friday from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270).
