Melissa Sue Compton (Hoffman), entered peacefully into rest on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the age of 55. Melissa was born September 3, 1967 in Columbus, Ohio to Judy Carpenter and was a graduate of Westland High School.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 2:00 – 3:00pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Road in Columbus. Her Funeral Service will follow at 3:00pm that afternoon with Pastor John Cox officiating.
Melissa was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend. She a self-proclaimed Jeapordy super star, loved anything related to the Royal family, an avid reader and was absolutely obsessed with her dog, Lulu. Melissa loved seeing her grandbabies whenever possible. Even when apart she was always making it a priority to be involved. She always put others over herself, even to the end. She will be absolutely missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Waneda Dodds and grandfather James Hoffman.
Melissa is survived by her mother, Judith Carpenter (Hoffman), husband, John S. Compton of Columbus, and her 3 children, Joshua and Kristen Fultz of Dublin, Chelsea and Jeffrey Boykin of Lancaster and Lacey Compton of Columbus. Melissa was also blessed with 4 amazing grandchild, Laila, Kaiden, Franziska and Wyatt.
