Mercedes was a caregiver to her children, her nieces, nephews and grandkids. She was very kind and caring for anyone who came in contact with her.
In addition to her parents, Mercedes was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Jones Jr. She was survived by her children: Paul Jones, Illya Clark, Mercedes R. Jones, Danielle Cunningham, Ricky Jones; her siblings: Leslie Washington, Lavelle Jones, Wanda Jones; nieces and nephews: Maria Jones, David Washington, Eric Jones, Alexandra (Nikki) Jones, Michael Washington, Brandon Jones; her grandchildren: Tiffany Jones, Azsa Patton, Paul B. Jones, Stephon Smith, Miranda Jones, Donyea Jones, Paul J Cunningham II, Stephan Cunningham, Breona Cunningham, Aleah Cunningham, and Anna Cunningham.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN, 229 E. State Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215, where family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
