

Michael L. Kemp, 60, passed away peacefully October 14, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 29, 1955 in New Brighton, PA to Delores (Cushnie) and the late Robert D. Kemp. A 1973 graduate of Rochester High School, Michael attended Aeronautic School which led to over 40 successful years working as an aircraft mechanic. He worked for Boeing, Cessna, Rockwell Int., McDonnell-Douglas and currently, Republic Airways. He was passionate about collecting and assembling model tanks and model trains and above all, loved keeping up with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his mother, Delores Kemp, he will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 40 years, Janyce (Surowiec) Kemp; daughter Cherie (Glenn) Wellman and their children Olivia and Kyle; son Robert (Sara) Kemp and their children Brookelyn, Mya and Taylor; brother Tomme Kemp; niece Emily Kemp and nephew Logan Kemp and their mother Dustie Hamilton Kemp; many very special friends, colleagues and extended family members. Family will welcome friends 1-3pm (3:00pm Service led by Paul Fink) Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232.
