Michael A. Rogers

Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be remembered by all who knew him as a man of great generosity, kindness and humor. Michael A. Rogers was born on January 5th, 1950 in South Bend, IN to the late John and Sanita Rogers. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Viki; his children Jessica (Chuck) Seaman, Ty (Joy), Kathryn, and John Michael Rogers; his grandchildren Julia, Charlie, June, and Greer; his special nephew, Ian Michalik; his Sandusky family; his cousins and aunt from South Bend and Elkhart, IN; his dear golfing buddies; his Teays Valley friends; and "The Wendy's Community of Saints". He was a 1968 graduate from Teays Valley High School and an Ohio University graduate in 1972. He was in the life insurance business as an agent and manager with Harleysville (Pennsylvania) and then retired from Motorist Insurance. Mike was passionate about spending time with his family, friends, golfing, and puppies. He loved traveling with his family to places like Florida, Colorado, and Lake Michigan to New Zealand. Mike was an active golf coach for the Bexley High School Girls' Team. He was an active dad, attending lacrosse games, musicals, and golf matches. Mike will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the James Cancer Research Fund, Salvation Army, or Christ Lutheran Church. Arrangements were entrusted to SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL 229 E. State St, Columbus, OH 43215 where a visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday December 14, 2017. A second visitation will be held on Friday, December 15th at Christ Lutheran Church 2314 E. Main St, Bexley, OH 43209 from 3-4:45pm with a funeral service to follow at 5pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 16th at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 10am in the chapel.
