Michael Ray Webb, 67, passed away on August 10, 2021 from a traumatic head injury sustained in a fall last year. Born in Whitesburg, KY, to Charles and Ellena (Adams) Webb, he grew up in Pikeville, KY, where he was the star quarterback for Pikeville HS. He attended the University of Kentucky and was president of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He worked as an insurance salesman and instructor. He married Elizabeth Lynn Trees in 1983, with whom he shares his two greatest joys in life, son Eric and daughter Allison. Michael was heavily involved in Boy Scouts of America and in Little League coaching. A longtime resident of Maineville, OH, north of Cincinnati, he later moved to Lexington and joined the Committee of 101 in supporting UK Athletics, which was particularly meaningful to him as a lifelong UK basketball fan. He made immediate friends with all he met, being quick with a (long-winded) joke or an offer to take a photo for strangers. He would consistently go out of his way to help and support family and friends. He was a beloved father and is immensely missed. He is survived by wife Lynn, children Eric (Maria) Webb and Allison (Stephen) Chasser, step-granddaughter Ella Chasser, and sisters Tana Newsome and Talena (Chris) Skeens, along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ellena. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations in Michael's memory to your local humane society.
