Mildred Glazer

Mildred (Millie) Glazer, age 97, passed away May 24, 2020 at her home. She was born on July 6, 1922 in Port Washington, Ohio to the late Stella Grace and Benjamin F. Glazer. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Clifford Glazer and sisters, Rachel Glazer and Martha Tate. She is survived by first cousin, Robert D. Glazer, many second cousins and many beloved friends. She was a 1944 Grant Hospital School of Nursing graduate where she worked for three years after graduating. She then worked for 48 years as a public health nurse for Franklin County Board of Health and Columbus City Health Department. She also worked part-time as an occupational health nurse for Lazarus and Columbus Cancer Clinic. After retirement from nursing she worked for April's Flowers and Gifts for 15 years. She dearly loved her faithful friend and companion, her dog Zoe. Millie enjoyed dancing, singing, golfing, football and loved spending time with her Meadow Park Church family. Burial will be in Port Washington, Ohio, Union Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Meadow Park Church, 2425 Bethel Road, Columbus, Ohio 43220 at a later date to be announced.
