Mildred Mae Rice

Mildred Mae McFarland Rice, 98, of Columbus, died Friday, February 17, 2012. She was born October 11, 1913 in Jackson, OH. She loved travel, music and animals. She was a member of many medical affiliated associations in Columbus. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Richard L McFarland and Donald C. Rice. She is survived by children Jo-Ann Ongaro, Malcolm (Mary Alice) McFarland and Richard (Winnie) McFarland, ten grandchildren Brian (Barbara) Ongaro, Rita (Tim) Redman, Edward (Almeda) Ongaro, Kelly (JoEllen) McFarland, Shelly (Scott) Graham, Lori McClung, Amy (Jim) Fallon, Eric McFarland, Kristen (Jim) Basch and Matthew McFarland, twenty one great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, brother-in-law Alan (Barbara) McFarland, many nieces, nephews and cousins, loving dog CoCo. Special thanks to caregivers Katherine, Rada and Sandy, Grace Hospice and Dave Mabry. Family will receive friends Monday from 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
