

Born in Bloomington, Indiana June 1, 1926 to the late Milton Edward Barker Sr. and Alice Jo (Wilson) Barker, Milton enlisted on July 4, 1944 and served in The United States Army during World War II in the Philippine Liberation of the Asiatic Pacific Theater with honors. Upon returning to the States, Milton went to Iowa State University where he played football. On June 10th, 1950 he married Louella Clock at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Milt and Lou were married for 63 years and raised three children, Becky, Terri and Brad. He retired from 3M Company after 40 years of dedicated service, loved fishing trips to Canada and Lake Erie, hunting, being with family, telling stories and jokes, and was a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan. Milton was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Louella, Great Grandson Blake Arnold and Son In Law Michael C. Bruce. He is survived by daughters Becky L. Fix (Kevin), Wadsworth, OH. , Terri S. Bruce, Wadsworth, OH., and son, Brad R. Barker (Amy), Lewis Center, OH., grandchildren Kristen (Chris) Nardo, Natalie (Carl) Arnold, Hayley Fix, Elliot Fix, Jason (Brittany) Bruce, Annie (George) Kleines, Bailey Barker and Kelsey Barker as well as 6 great grandchildren, Andrew, Sydney, Chloe, Zachary, Aaron, and Brooke, his sister, Beverly McGrath, Dunedin, FL, many nieces and nephews, and a host of great friends.
Private cremation services have been entrusted to Schoedinger Worthington Chapel. Interment with military honors will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in a private family celebration of life. Special family thanks to Feridean Commons staff and friends.
