

Monalee Meyers age, 75, passed away Sunday, March 04, 2012. She was born on August 7, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Arthur Thomas Ward and Dorothy May Locke Ward. She graduated from Wintersville High School in 1954. Monalee went on to earn a Bachelor of Education from Ohio University and a Master of Science from The Ohio State University. She was a school psychologist with Fairfield County Schools. Monalee and Fritz enjoyed traveling throughout the world, cheering on the Buckeyes at the football and basketball games, and volunteering at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Her love and beautiful spirit will be greatly missed by her dear family and friends. In addition to her parents, Monalee was preceded in death by her first husband, Lt. Col. Howard Keith Williams. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Frederick “Fritz” Meyers; son, Howard Williams; grandson, Ian Williams; step-daughter, BethAnn Hullinger nee Meyers (Jeff); granddaughter, Dr. Heidi Hullinger Martin (Jim); sister, Karen (Michael) DiLeonardo; nephew, David DiLeonardo; niece, Michelle (Sean) Eitel; uncle and aunt, Bob and Edith Neelan and uncle, Skip Ward. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Private family interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kae Avenue School library for purchase of books or to the Frederick “Fritz” D. Meyers Scholarship Endowment at The Ohio State University College of Engineering.
