Mouhib "Mike" Khoury, December 17, 1933 - September 27, 2014, emigrated to the U.S. from Lebanon in 1962. He was born in Nasra, Syria where he fought for freedom, democracy, and unity. He left Syria for Lebanon two years before he began his fruitful life in the U.S., where he maintained his deep love and strong patriotism for his homeland while becoming a proud and productive U.S. citizen. He was a Jack- of- all- trades, and although he retired from a long and distinguished career teaching mathematics at various institutions (Buckeye Youth Center, OSU, Columbus State, and Columbus City Schools) he dabbled in many other fields of work. Some of these adventures included managing a country club, house flipping, and briefly owning a restaurant with his wife. His dedication to work, however, was in service to his true love which was his family. He also loved people, in general, and always had a diverse group of friends who usually became family. He leaves behind a wife of nearly 47 years, three children, a son-in-law, two grandchildren who adore him, and countless extended family and friends who loved and respected him all his life. Funeral services will be held at 12 P.M. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., where family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Zusman Hospice or a similar charity of your choice, in his honor, would be most welcome. Please visit www.schoedinger.com to share memories or condolences.
