

A funeral service, to celebrate the life of N. Wendell “Wimp” Cline, 84, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Pastor Gus Andrews officiating. A private burial will be held at Wilson Cemetery at a later date.
“Wimp” was born in Newark on May 7, 1928 to the late Hazel (Dudgeon) Cline Yount and was raised by two wonderful people, George and Mary Yockey. He passed away on September 12, 2012 at his home while surrounded by family.
He was a life-time carpenter, building homes and working for George Yockey, Don Oxley, Jerry McClain and Rick Cline. He loved fishing, trap shooting and the outdoors. Most important to him was being with family and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Betty (Dickerson) Cline, whom he married on February 17, 1947; children, Karen Sue McLaughlin, Linda Sturm and Rick (Chris) Cline; grandchildren, Rob (June) Nicodemus, Ron (Alicia) Nicodemus, Chuck (Kim) Nicodemus, Cory Burgess, Darcy (Jason) Nethers and George Cline; great grandchildren, Savannah, Eric, Emily, Katie, Steven, Alexyss, Mackenzie, Mac and Zac; sister, Nancy Wright; and several nieces, nephews and good friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Vivian McArtor, Charles Cline, Beverly Ridenbaugh, Keith Yount and Bill Yount.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral service from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
