Nancy D. Chandler, age 89, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024. Nancy was born December 2, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to John and Ethel Van Walsen. She retired from Sears Warehouse where she worked for many years. Nancy enjoyed going to the monthly luncheons with the girls' group, jigsaw puzzles and word searches. She will be remembered for being a kind, caring, generous and incredible mom. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Van Walsen; husband, Charles Combs; son, Bill Combs; and siblings, Gertrude, Carl, Adrian, Lee and Earl. Survived by her son, David (Martha) Combs; grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth, and Brandon; Lucy her store-bought daughter; many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 4-6 pm at Advantage Funeral Home by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204. A private graveside service will take place at Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City, Ohio.
