Nancy Louise Guess

Family and friends may call at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. A graveside service, to celebrate the life of Nancy Louise Guess, 68 of Heath, will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Wilson Cemetery with Father Bill Quinlan officiating.

Nancy was born in Logan, Ohio on September 25, 1942 to the late Harold Theodore and Alta Juanita (Cottrill) Guess. She passed away at her residence on April 3, 2011.

Nancy was a member of the Newark Eagles Auxiliary, Newark Moose Lodge, Newark American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed collecting oil paintings and antiques. She also enjoyed going to flea markets, traveling and was an avid reader. Nancy knew no strangers and loved everyone she met. She was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and friend.

Survivors include her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Jeff Van Sloun of Perrysburg, and Pam and Jim Syzdek of Nashport; four grandchildren, John, Kristen, Jessica and Jennifer; and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Nancy to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
