Naomi Jean Davis, age 80, passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, October 24, 2014 after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer. She was born on June 8, 1934 to the late James and Thelma (Bennett) Porter. Naomi is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Edward Davis; son, Gene (Lisa) Davis; daughter, Karen (David Slaughter) Davis; grandchildren, Amanda (David Osborne) Davis; Joe (Sarah) Davis and Tracie Goins; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Peyton Osborne, Kaylynn and Hunter Davis, Beau and Brian Goins; many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 pm Monday at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 West Broad St., where the funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Naomi's memory to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 6150 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213.
