Nellie M. Lewis

Nellie M. Lewis, age 92, of Grove City, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 15, 1918 to the late Antonio and Tomasina Capocciama. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Franklin Lewis; and siblings, Armond Capocciama, Bessie Pentello, Angeline DeMatteo, Sandina Elliott, Mary Schillaci, and Theresa Capocciama. Survivors include her children, Linda (George) Griffith, Deborah (Clayton) Canter, and Michael (Diane) Lewis; grandchildren, Jerry (Gina) Griffith, Darin (Emily) Griffith, Lauren (Mickey) MacNeill, Kristen Lewis, Erin Lewis, and John Lewis; great grandchildren, Guenevere and Gabriel Griffith; and many nieces and nephews. Nellie enjoyed reading, puzzles, and watching her daily soap operas. She will be remembered as loving and strong woman, the matriarch of her family. Friends may call Monday, September 6, 2010 from 2:00PM-5:00PM and Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 6:00PM-8:00PM with prayer service at 7:30PM at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3752 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 where she and Frank were founding members. Fr. John Swickard Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
