

Nevin D. Colvin, 33, of Lewis Center, formerly of New Philadelphia, left us unexpectedly February 2, 2011. Nevin was born March 5, 1977 in Dover, Ohio to Dwain and Connie (Flickinger) Colvin. Nevin was a 1995 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, where he excelled in academics, golf, baseball, basketball, soccer, while singing in the Delphian Chorale. While attaining his MBA at Fisher College of Business at OSU he met his wife, Sheila. Nevin has been employed the last nine years for Time Warner Business Class earning the prestigious President’s Club Award four of those years. Although Nevin loved his work, he loved his family even more. Nevin adored his wife of 10 years, worshiped his children and was a model son to his parents. Nevin and his father shared a special bond and Nevin was looking forward to passing these special values to his children. Nevin was outgoing, confident, very loving, honest, with a personality that touched everyone. Nevin soared in life like an eagle while exhibiting a special humility in every aspect of life. Nevin was a member of Six Degrees Networking, mentored through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and was an avid OSU sports fan. Nevin was preceded in death by his infant twin daughters, Alexandra and Gabriella. Nevin will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 10 years, Sheila; children, Gavin and Olivia; parents, Dwain and Connie Colvin; brother, Heath (Christina) Colvin; grandmothers, Betty Colvin and Joanne Page; father and mother-in-law, Ray and Mollie Grube; brother-in-law, Brian (Amy, M.D.) Grube; nieces and nephews, Emma Colvin and Sarah, Samuel, and Luke Grube; special cousin, Keith (Leslie) Colvin and their children, Abby and Laney; and many other family members and friends. Family will receive friends Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just South of I-270). Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2pm Sunday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nevin’s memory to his children’s college funds in care of the funeral home in the names of Gavin or Olivia Colvin, or to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central OH, 1855 Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43229.
