

Norm served his country in the Air Force for 21 years where he retired. He went on to work in the banking industry and retired as Vice President of the Trust Department for Huntington. In 1979 Norm earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Franklin University. Member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Norman was a hard working family man. He was an avid sportsman; whether that be watching or playing sports. He was a member on the Air Force Fast-Pitch Softball Team where he got the opportunity to pitch in front of Queen Elizabeth II.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, Barbara June.
Norm will be greatly missed by his children, Barbara Sammons, Deborah (John) Vina, Kevin (Lisa) Kirkendall, Rodney (Deanna) Kirkendall, Nancy (Dennis) Lowe; grandchildren, Brian Sr. and Calen Sammons, Donnie (Donna), Kyle (Shella), and Drew Morrison, Autumn (Eddie) Agans, Kelli (Amanda) Conran, Seth (Brittany), Kayla, Madalyn Kirkendall, and Jonathan, Madison, and Nathan Maynard; great-grandchildren, Brian Jr., Carter, Riley, Ward, Malia, Aaron, Brantley, and Kade; siblings, Lawrence, Leoma, and Wayne; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends from 3-4pm on Monday January 21, 2019 at the Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43232; where a Memorial Service were will begin at 4pm. Private family inurnment at Dayton National Cemetery.
