He is preceded in death by his parents Veronis and Lewis McAfee, son Michael J. Howard, and brother-in-law Robert Bryant. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 45 years, Beverly McAfee; his grandchildren, Sean Michael Howard, Erin (Sir) Oputa; his sister Jessie McAfee Bryant; niece Brenda Bryant, Robin Bryant; nephews William "Bill" (Carol) Bryant; Charles (Veronica) Bryant; great-nephew Charles Bryant Jr.;great-nieces Angela Bryant, Vanessa (Ugo) Nwankwo, Myesha Miller, Merisa Dell and great-great nephews and nieces Jade, Jazmyne, Jamilah and Calvin Dell, and Chance Ivy.
Eddie was a man of many talents, a published author, composer, musician, life-long teacher, and programmer.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 1, 2013 from 10am to 11am, with a service to follow at First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Road Columbus, OH 43232. Arrangements by Schoedinger East Chapel.
