Patricia Alexander

Patricia Alexander (Stevenson), 86, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021. She has been reunited with Robert, her husband of almost 70 years, beautiful daughter Diana, grandsons, Chris and Steven, beloved sister Stephanie, parents Donald And Alice Stevenson (Agin), and dear friend, Fr. John P Byrne, all of whom have been awaiting her arrival in heaven.

Born on August 3, 1934, she grew up with very few material possessions and learned very quickly how to make something out of nothing. This quality appealed to Robert, as he was fond of telling his children that he had to coax her out of a tree with a French fry. Of course, it may also have had something to do with her natural wit, beauty, and charm, as they were married on April 18, 1951. Fiercely independent, Patricia and Robert built their own home in Apple Valley and lived there together for the last 25 years. Visiting grandchildren learned how to quickly dispatch any snakes or skunks that dared show themselves! A member of St. Michael's parish for 40 years and St. Vincent DePaul for 25 years, she had a deep and abiding faith in, and love for, God. Patricia's greatest sense of pride, joy, and accomplishment was in her 10 children. She taught them to love and support one another, loyalty and commitment to family, the value of hard work and fair play, and how to build and fix almost anything! She will be deeply missed by her children and their spouses: Robert (Rece) Alexander, Eric Alexander, David Alexander, Julia (Kenneth) Hays, Elizabeth (Ron) Urbano, Matthew Alexander, Laura (Gary) Vonderembse, Daniel Alexander, and Mary (Mike) Van Meter.

She was also the proud and loving grandmother of 25, great grandmother of 14, great-great grandmother of 2 and numerous relatives and friends that will miss her deeply but remember Patricia with love and laughter.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, April 23 from 5PM until 7PM at the Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 North High Street, Worthington OH, 43085. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 5750 North High Street, Columbus OH, 43085
