Patricia A. Bowers

Patricia A. Bowers, 82, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012. She was born February 13, 1930 in Columbus, and was a 1947 graduate of the Columbus School for Girls and a 1951 graduate of O.S.U.

Pat opened the first ever cruise only travel agency in Arlington, Cruise Away Travel Agency, and worked for both Ohio and Michigan Bell. She was a supporter of the opera and symphony and member of the Canterbury Bells and Grace Brethren Church. Pat was the finance director and a fund raiser for the Ohio Republican Party and belonged to the Pilot Club of Columbus. Pat was lots of fun and full of adventures. She enjoyed her many friendships and lived a full life.

Preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Donald F. and Helen Bowers. Pat will be missed by her brother, Dr. Donald F., Jr. (Theresa) Bowers; nephew, Bruce F. (Annie) Bowers and their children, Keegan, Darby, Tucker, and Garret; cousins, Judy Redd, Tina-Marie Pagan, Joseph Deliz, Stacey Hanna; and longtime friends, Anne Powell Riley and Mary Jo Cusack.
