Patricia Fletcher

Patricia Hays Fletcher, age 88, passed away peacefully in the company of her family on January 12, 2018. She was born June 15, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Dr. Samuel B. and Gladys (Danford) Hays. She was a 1948 graduate of North High School and a lifelong resident of Clintonville.

Her life was devoted to giving unconditional love, support and encouragement to her family and friends. She exhibited a great flair for decorating, cooking and hosting family events. Her hobbies included bowling with her friends in the Clintonville Women's Club league and deriving joy and solace from listening to beautiful music. Those closest to her appreciated her keen ability to listen empathetically and offer perceptive, fitting advice which was often delivered in a witty, amusing way.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Edward, her parents and her brother, Samuel D. Hays.

Patricia will be missed by her daughter, Brenda (Jeffrey) Bell; son, Gregory (Kathryn) Fletcher; grandchildren, Heather Bell, Holly (Tim) Kern, Samuel Fletcher, Benjamin Fletcher, and Nicholas Fletcher; great-grandsons, Trenton Kern and Tyler Kern; several in-laws, nephews, nieces and many dear friends.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Whetstone Assisted Living Center for their loving care and support. The family will celebrate her life in a private memorial service with funeral arrangements made by SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL. She will be interred at Lithopolis Cemetery.
