Patricia Ruth West, age 72, passed away peacefully after fighting the good fight with a 10 year battle with cancer, Sunday, May 30, 2010 at St. Ann’s Hospital. She was a dedicated and active member of Maize Road Baptist Church where she taught English. She is survived by loving husband of 49 years, Alvin Eugene West; children, Charles (Elizabeth) West, Nina Close, Rachel Duvall and Esther (Chad) Thompson; 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother, Gary (Renee) Harris and sister, Sue Elmore. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where a funeral service will be held 10 AM, Thursday, June 3, 2010. Pastor Brett Castle officiating.
