Patty J. Damron, age 81, of New Albany, formerly of Grove City, Ohio, went to be with God on March 13, 2016. She passed peacefully at her home after kissing her devoted husband good-bye, with her children by her side, and thus ending her battle with cancer.
Patty was born on April 19, 1934, and was the much-loved daughter of Curtis and Hester Maggard. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary Maggard and sister Betty Johnson; she is survived by Glenn, her husband of 63 years, son Keith, daughter Trese (Mark) Bueltmann, and grandson Ian Bueltmann.
Patty’s greatest joys were her children and grandson. She loved spending time drawing, painting, redecorating and thinking how to make things more beautiful. She will be sadly missed but always remembered for her love and sense of humor. The family wishes to thank all those who prayed for Patty and her family and who shared their love and support during this time, including the many medical personnel who provided wonderful comfort and care the last weeks of Patty’s life.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 16, 5-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna 43230.
