Paul "Pete" W. Corey

Pete graduated from Wittenberg University in 1952, with a bachelor’s degree in education and a major in Health and Physical Education. He then graduated from The Ohio State University in 1955 with a master’s degree in Health and Physical Education. He served in the Army from 1952-1954.

He was a teacher at Upper Arlington High School from 1955 to 1986. He coached baseball and basketball. He was the head football coach from 1970 to 1986. Pete was a member of countless organizations including Ohio Football Coaches Association and American Football Coaches Association. He was also involved in several theatre organizations.

Pete is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Geltzer and brothers John and Bill.

He is survived by daughter, Sue (Doug), Jane, Lisa (Jim). Grandchildren Ben, Corey (Megan), Brian (Ashley), Kristen (David), Braeden and Mairin. Great grandchildren, Margaret, Quentin and Elsa. Special friend, Barbara Spears and daughter Amanda.

A memorial will be held on Tuesday September 23rd, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM at Riverside Methodist Church, 2701 Zollinger Road Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, with a service starting at 6 PM.
