Paul F. Echelbarger

Paul F. Echelbarger, age 93 of Gahanna, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Paul was born and raised in Columbus, son of the late Clarence and Rowena Echelbarger. Also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna Echelbarger, and siblings, Marjorie Wohlgamuth, and Gerald and John Echelbarger. Paul was a very happy and jovial man who loved to help people. He retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad where he worked as an engineer. Paul was a lifetime member of the Moose International where he played on both their golf and bowling leagues, and was a member of the United Transportation Union. In addition, Paul also enjoyed playing horseshoes and watching baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds. He will be missed by his daughter, Connie Echelbarger; niece, Margery Stokes; nephews, Ted, Frantz, and Kurt Wohlgamuth; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, September 19, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 2-6 P.M. Sunday. Interment Mifflin Township Cemetery.
