Paul W. (Red) Hennessy, age 85, of Galloway, Ohio passed away on Friday May 27, 2022. He was born on August 1, 1936 in Oneida, NY and grew up in Sherrill to the late Joseph and Ardella (Schaller) Hennessy. When he was 11 years old, his mother died of cancer leaving 8 children behind. His mother's sister, Auntie Florence Schaller raised them and loved them until she died. Paul joins in death his parents and siblings David, James, Phillip, Mary and Esther. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years Joan A. (Blair) Hennessy; siblings John sj and Ann; children David (Joni), Dianne (Mark), Kelly (Jeff), Daryl (Barbara), Kevin (Gina) and Kimberly (Patrick). He also leaves behind grandchildren and great grandchildren. He attended LaMoyne College in Syracuse on a basketball scholarship in addition to playing baseball for the college as a catcher. Paul was an entrepreneur and businessman who owned and operated Hennessy Landscaping and he also loved to farm, especially sweet corn. He also enjoyed driving racecars. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Road, Columbus, Ohio 43228 in Paul’s name. A Funeral Mass will be determined for later this year.
