Paul Eugene Ward

Paul Eugene Ward, 93, of Columbus, died Saturday, February 7, 2015. He was born September 13, 1921 in Columbus to the late Ralph and Fleta (Turnbull) Ward. He was a graduate of West High School and attended business college. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII and Korea. He retired as an accountant from Schodorf Truck Body Co. and was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church where he was a member of the choir and also a member of the VFW. He enjoyed Western Square Dancing and traveling, especially to Navy reunions. He kept up on sports through the newspaper and TV and was a fan of the Reds and OSU Women’s Basketball. Paul was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be missed. He is preceded in death by sister Violet Ramsey and brothers John and William Ward. Paul is survived by Nancy (Allison) Ward, his loving wife of 28 years, children Linda (Rick) Soell, Nancy McPherson and David (Debbie) Ward, step children Gary (Terri) Jones, Steve (Janet) Jones and Dan (Debby) Jones, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and nephew and niece Doug Ramsey and Ellen Ramsey. Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
