Peggy Ann Thomas

Peggy Ann Thomas, age 88 of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Peggy was born and raised in Columbus, only child of the late Dana and Adelaide Westerman. Also preceded in death by her husband, Willard Thomas, son-in-law, Glenn Bellomy, and grandsons, Robert McCleish Bellomy and Matthew Smith. Peggy attended Columbus School for Girls and following, married Willard and began their 49 years of marriage together. Peggy worked for Optical Service Inc. and was also a docent with the Columbus Museum of Art. She was a longtime member of the Columbus Country Club and enjoyed playing golf, bridge, bowling, and traveling. She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Carla Thomas, Pat Thomas, Leigh Bellomy, and Daniel Thomas; grandchildren, Miranda (Rich) Stage, Cassady (Tory Fitchett) Thomas, Dylan (Rose) Thomas, Hannah Thomas, and Rachel (Nic) Beard; great grandchildren, Charlotte and Duncan Stage, Arden and Hadley Fitchett, and Josephine Beard; and other extended family members and dear friends.
