Penelope Scott

Penelope Lynn Scott, age 43 of Reynoldsburg, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014. Penny was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of Joseph Roach and Gail Minnich Stafford. Penny graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School, Class of 1989 and Ashland College where she earned her Master’s in Education. Penny taught as a third grade teacher at Goshen Lane Elementary School, Gahanna. Penny was an energetic and loyal woman who had a tremendous heart. She was extremely passionate about her students and was proud to be their teacher. She collected dolls, was active with the Girl Scouts of America, and enjoyed traveling. Most of all, Penny cherished her role as a mother and was truly devoted to her children. She will be greatly missed by her children, Andrew and Melissa Scott and their father, Andrew Scott; mother, Gail (Kenneth) Stafford; father, Joseph Roach; siblings, Tim (Maria) Roach, Susan (Hesham Abdulla) Stafford, and Richard Stafford; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. on Friday, September 12, 2014 and a memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Girl Scouts of the USA, Fund Development, P.O.
