Peter Nelson Taylor, affectionately known as “Sarge” was born on August 26, 1939 in Fort Warren, Wyoming and passed away peacefully at home on September 10, 2013. He was a loving husband to Sylvia Huffman Bianco Taylor for 40 years. He was also a caring involved father to his 5 children, Angela Bianco, Eddie Bianco, Ronnie Bianco (Manuela), Anne McGhee (Tim) and Andria Taylor Edgington (Steve). He thoroughly enjoyed his 7 grandchildren, Aileen McGhee Burke (Ryan), Patrick McGhee, Gina Bianco, Rocco Bianco, Dino Bianco and his most recent joys, Aurora and Aidan Edgington and his great grandson Michael Anthony. He also leaves a sister Biz Roland (preceded by Steve) and nephew and niece, Richard Roland (Raymond) and Kristina Kolb (Chris). Also sadly missed by “Sis” Saralyn Bauer. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Gail Helm (preceded by Don) and the whole “clan”. He was preceded in death by his father Colonel Edward Taylor and his mother Ruth Taylor. He proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam as part of the American Division of the Mounted Calvary, and spent many years with the Ohio National Guard. He also retired from the State of Ohio Department of Travel and Tourism. He was preceded in death, several lonesome months ago, by his faithful Yorkshire Terrier Sam, “the inspector general”. He was a dedicated military historian and his lifelong friends, Dave Handle and Gaylon Gauncer will miss his complement to their historic adventures. Another close friend “Pool Pat” will miss his friendship. He never met a stranger, and we will miss him dearly. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28th, 2013 at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Green lawn Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any Disabled Vietnam Veterans organization or Veteran’s Honor Guard unit, in his memory. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road.
