Phyllis Jean Carroll

Phyllis J. Carroll, age 85 of Upper Arlington, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019. Phyllis was born in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of the late Arthur and Frances Bishop. Also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert S. Carroll and brother, William E. Bishop. Phyllis retired from The Ohio State University where she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Anthropology Department. Phyllis was a member of the OSU Retirees Association and Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was a strong, spunky, and devoted woman who enjoyed working crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and crocheting. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Pamela C. (Herbert F. III) Coard; grandchildren, Emily (Micheal) Teem and Herbert Fletcher Coard IV; beloved cat, Miss Molly; dear friend, Eleanor; neighbors, Anita and Stewart; and other extended family members and dear friends. Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, December 9, 2019 at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Rd. Pastor Katie Kinnison officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colony Cats Adoption Center, 2740 Festival Ln., Dublin, Ohio 43017 or to H.A.L.O. No Kill Rescue, 710 Jackson St., Sebastian, Florida 32958.
