Phyllis Hope Forrest

Phyllis "Hope" Forrest, 91, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was born February 28, 1927 in Forest, Ohio to Arthur A. and Nettie I. Brumfield and at a very young age came to Columbus. She was a graduate of South High School and retired from the Ohio State Pharmaceutical Assn. Hope was a member of New Albany First Church of the Nazarene and will be remembered for her endless energy and her willingness to help others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Rancy "Lee" Forrest, brother Jesse Brumfield and sister Lois Lenore Brumfield. Hope is survived by her daughter, Lois Forrest; son, Rancy Forrest; grandchildren, Tammy (Chris) Lanning, Tonya (Mike) Mikulin, Jason Lewis and Jodi (Brian) Starrett; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Debbie (Jim) Centers and nephew Richard Hartman. Family will welcome friends 12-1pm Friday, July 20, 2018 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where her service will begin at 1pm; interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt.
