

Phyllis Mae Young, age 90, of Grove City, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016. She was born September 2, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio. She was a graduate of West High School and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from The Ohio State University. She was a member of O.E.S and Grove City United Methodist Church where she was an active choir member and member of the Lydia Women's Society. Preceded in death by husband, Denver Young and son, Dennis Young. Survived by daughter, Diane (Ed) Schirtzinger; grandchildren, Amy Schirtzinger, Michael Schirtzinger, Jennifer (John) Robison; James Young, and Rebekah (Jordan) Smith; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter, sisters, Carolyn Smith and Judy (Robert) Hadley; brother, Richard (Penny) Gilbert; and many good friends. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday. An Eastern Star service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grove City United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
