

Ralph Terry Tullis passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on April 20th. Terry was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Dorothy (Baxter) and his stepmother Martha Tullis and grandson Christian. He was survived by his loving wife Marilyn, his children: Zachary (Elizabeth) Tullis and Kathryn (Matthew) Gooch, stepchildren Marsha Davis and Marty (Beth) Davis. Grandchildren: Keegan, Kirstin, Moira, Liam, Zylus, Anders, Danielle (Jesse Shaffer) and Kadence . Great Grandchildren, Layla and Kinlyn. His sisters, Joan (Steve) Cooper and Janis Tullis and nieces and nephew.
Terry enjoyed traveling and camping his entire life. After he bought his second RV, he often remarked “This is the best tent I've ever had!” His love for history was also evident in the many historical destinations he liked to visit. Terry was an avid reader, the daily newspaper and the Almanac were favorites of his. Terry loved animals. His most recent dog, Molly, whom he called Floppy Ears, was one of his favorites.
Terry graduated from Marietta High School and received degrees from Youngstown State University and the Ohio State University. He loved football, and followed YSU football passionately. Yearly, he tried to make it to at least one game in Youngstown.
Terry was an army veteran serving at Ft. Jackson as a Military Policeman. Terry was a member of the American Legion Don Gentile Post 532. He worked for the Franklin County Board of Developmentally Disabled, retiring from there in 2010. As well as working for the County, Terry served his fellow colleagues as their Union President for many years. He was a member of his local, State (OEA), and National (NEA) unions. He was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Serving not only as member, but also on various committees.
