

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Before retirement, Dr. Cochran practiced psychiatry in Mt. View, CA. He attended Foothill Congregational Church in Los Altos, CA, and more recently, Riverside United Methodist Church in Upper Arlington, OH. He loved the theatre, music, bridge, and tennis.
Preceded in death by his mother, Nora Cochran; father, Fred Cochran; step-mother, Ruth Cade Cochran; and sister, Yvonne Young. Richard will be missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Diana Cochran; children, Donna (Terry) Church, Mark (Annalisa) Cochran, Sean (AJ) Cochran, and Christopher (Amber) Cochran; ten grandchildren, Brian and Kevin Church, Kyle and Kelly Cochran, Maya, Lily and Elle Cochran, Spencer, Ryan and Eamon Cochran; brothers, Dr. John (Joan) Cochran and James (Kathy) Cochran; and sister, Jane Peterson.
Family will receive friends Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, Rev. David Griebner, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard's memory to the American Cancer Society, Franklin Co. Unit, 5555 Frantz Rd., Dublin, OH 43017 or the Arthur James Cancer Hospital, 300 W. 10th Ave., Columbus, OH 43210.
