

Richard J. “Dick” Fabian, Sr., 77, of Circleville, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on December 14, 1934 in Brier Hill, Pennsylvania, the son of Andrew and Mary (Bizik) Fabian. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Andrew Paul Fabian; and brothers-in-law, Luke Reed, Ted Harber and Joe Mogan.
He was a graduate of Waynesburg (PA) High School. Dick was retired after 39 years of government service which included time served in the Air Force and also at DSCC in Columbus, Ohio. He was a proud veteran and an even prouder American. Dick was a life member of AMVETS and the VFW and also belonged to the Moose and Eagles lodges. He was a huge Steelers fan and loved to cook. His greatest joy in life were his grandkids whom he called “Little Man” and “Gretchen”.
Dick is survived by his loving family, wife, Patricia L. “Marti” (Martin) Fabian; his sons, Andrew of Arizona and Richard, Jr. (Debbie) of Newark; daughters, Laura (David Ellis) Fabian of Nashport and Patricia (Elliott Walker) Fabian of Gahanna and their children, “Little Man” Ethan Walker and “Gretchen” Caitlin Walker; sisters-in-law, Dee Mogan and Barbara Reed-Harber; brother-in-law, John (Carol) Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery with military service provided by AMVETS Post 2256 Honor Guard. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
