

Richard James McDonnell, age 56, passed away after a courageous battle with a traumatic brain injury with his family by his side on Sunday, April 21, 2019. Richard was born in Columbus on January 3, 1963 to Donald and Sally (Welsh) McDonnell. He was affectionately known to his family and friends as "Ricky Mac the Big Mac Daddy". Ricky was a handyman and loved being outdoors. He could be found camping, building bon fires, grilling and playing with his daughter and grandchildren. He was an avid OSU Buckeye and Dallas Cowboys Fan. Ricky was a member of Capital City Church. Preceded in death by his father, Donald McDonnell and beloved dog, Tabby. Survived by his wife, Belinda McDonnell; sons, Jordon (Cierra), Issac (Erika), Andrew; daughters, Lena Jackson and Promise McDonnell; grandchildren, Ava, Caden, Nevaeh, Jayde, Summer, Lilly and Noah; mother, Sally (Dave) Conway; siblings, David and Susan; many other relatives including, Justine Smith, Peyton; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at 5:00 pm where family and friends will gather from 4pm-6pm at CrossRoads Baptist Church, 5075 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43231 with Pastor Paul Gabriel officiating.
