Richard M. Sims

Dick served in the Army during World War II as a Weather Observer. He graduated from the Ohio State University and worked as a math teacher and data processing manager. He was an active member of Riverside Bible Church for over 50 years, participating in the Tape Ministry, choir, and as an usher.

He is survived by his son, Eric (Becky) Sims; grandsons, Jacob and Joshua; along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife of over 46 years, Rowena (Brown) Sims; his parents; and his brothers, John H. Sims and William H. "Bill" Sims.

Family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Road. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 9, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near New Concord. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Riverside Bible Church, 5330 Olentangy River Road. Pastor David Crawford officiating.
