Robert Dale Baker

Robert D. Baker, Ph.D., age 77, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Emeritus of Chestnut Hill. He was born in Cottage Hill, Illinois on January 11, 1938 to the late Robert O. and Doris Kessinger Baker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Linda Oldaker Baker; children Robert A. Baker, Pamela (Martin) VanDenack, Barbara Claypool and Michael (Lisa) Baker, DPM, Jeffrey (Cindy) Bertsch and Cindy Phillips; 11 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren; sister Donna (Fred) Marshall and her family.

A dedicated member of the Gahanna Community Congregational Church. Bob was very committed to The Gideon’s International, where he was past President and Chaplain for the Adams County Camp. He earned his Ph.D. in Physiology specializing in bovine embryology.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Gahanna Community Congregational Church, 470 Havens Corners, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Pastor Brian McGookey, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gideon’s International, PO Box 425 West Union, Ohio, 45693 in Bob’s memory. Schoedinger Northeast Chapel entrusted with arrangements.
