

Robert Leland Barnhart, 69, of Circleville, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at BergerHospital, Circleville. He was born September 18, 1940 in Circleville, the son of the late Robert Orville Barnhart and Estella (Wilson) Barnhart Wise. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Barnhart Stevens in 2004. Barney, as he was known by his friends, attended St. CharlesPrep School in Columbus and graduated from CirclevilleHigh School and later graduated from OhioUniversity with a degree in Business Administration. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Army from 1965 through 1967. Barney was a member of the Knights of Columbus, AMVETS Post 2256, VFW and Elks. He loved all types of sports and enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball and football. Barney was always there to take care of everything and everybody and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anna May (Diltz) Barnhart; sons, Luke, Kyle Joseph, Samuel and Thomas Barnhart of Circleville; grandsons, James Farnham, Bobby Stewart, Shane (financee Lacey Reedy) Stevens, Randy Stevens, Andrew Barnhart and Jude Barnhart. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00a.m.Monday, July 5, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 134 W. Mound Street, Circleville. Burial will be in St. JosephCemetery, Circleville, with military honors by AMVETS Post 2256 Honor Guard. Friends may call from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 4th at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E.
