Robert P. Dillard

Robert P. Dillard, Sr. was born July 23, 1928 to Janie M. Saunders - Dillard and Charles Dillard in Boissevain, Virginia. He went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 29, 2011 at The Kobacker House. Preceded in death by parents, loving wife Louise M. Dillard; Brothers Douglas Dillard; William Dillard; and Charles Dillard; and Sisters Katrina Rice and Dorothy Byrd; Fred M. Harris and grandson William G. Dillard, II. He leaves to cherish his memories, brother, James E. Dillard; children, Olivia (James) Rusher; Robert (Nora) Dillard, Jr.; Wanda Dillard; Charles E. Dillard, William G. (Michelle) Dillard; Darcel (Derek, MD) Dillard-Suite; Janie (Ramon) McGee; and Dr. Anthony (Carolyn) Dillard, ABD. Grandchildren, Robert Rusher, M.D. MPS, Charles Dillard, John Dillard, Usha Dillard, Maia Dillard, Michael Dillard, Jamile and Jasmine McGee, Micah Dillard, Daylin Jones and Tonia Dunson - Dillard. Great grandchildren, Shawnae, Kaia Louise, Shia and Morgan Dillard. Sisters- in -law, Ethel Horton, Geraldine Horton, and Patricia (Arthur) Lowe, and Brothers- in -Law, Alfonza Horton, Nathaniel (Renetta) Fitzgerald, and Harold Fitzgerald. Special cousin, Sheila Ross, and lifelong friends, Dora Duckett, Helen Naujoks, Deacon Paul Spinner, and Deacon Chester Francis. He was a Deacon at Union Grove Baptist Church and a dedicated member for over 50 years. Special thanks to Dr. Chris McClung, The Ohio State University Department of Urology.

The Family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Schoedinger Funeral Home 5360 E. Livingston Avenue and again on Thursday from 10:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M. at Union Grove Baptist Church 266 N. Champion Avenue. Celebration of his life will begin at 11:00 A.M. at Union Grove Baptist Church, Pastor Henry L. Johnson, III, Officiate. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
