Born on January 14, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio. Bob was the son of the late Wilbur John Haffner and Gertrude Margaret Haffner (Mitchell). Bob is preceded in death by Patricia L. Haffner (Wahls), they shared 51 years together and once again have been reunited. Bob is survived by his daughter, Sherry L. Fox, and son Richard L. Haffner spouse John Quillin. Bob is survived also by his cousin Kenneth D. Haffner (Nanci)
Poppa was a dedicated grandfather and great grandfather who was treasured by Amanda Fox, Kyle Fox spouse Kelli Fox, Parker Fox and Bridget Ames, Jaidyn, and Hailey. His great-grandchildren Olivia, Ava, and Benjamin made him feel young. Through his lessons on life and his constant tormenting, you couldn't help but feel loved. Pops' ability to explain just about anything made him the go-to guy for all things, big or small. There will always be a place in our hearts for our Pop-it, who gave us so many good things to remember.
Bob was a proud United States Navy veteran and avid fisherman who found peace on the water. Bob loved his sweet puppy, Abby who refused to leave his side. Bob was proud to have a membership at the local gun range to show off his skills to keep up with the grandkids. Bob was an honest man who enjoyed life and his liberty.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and out of respect to the wellbeing of Bob's family, friends, and visitors a Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held at a later date and time and SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, Gahanna, is assisting family with arrangements.
