Robert Hinebaugh

Robert D. Hinebaugh, age 92, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Tuesday June 24, 2025. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 9, 1932 to the late Dale W. and Vera B. (Willoughby) Hinebaugh. Robert joins in death his loving wife Mary Ann; their daughter Julie Ann Hinton; his parents; siblings Clifford Hinebaugh and Garnette Thomy. He leaves behind his children Pete D. Hinebaugh and Diane Thompson; grandchildren Brian Hinebaugh, Alison Hinton, Paul Saltz and Anna Harbarger and a great grandchild Braxton Hinebaugh. Robert served in the US Navy during the Korean War conflict and was a proud “Tin Can” sailor. He also proudly served his community for over 24 years with the City of Columbus Fire Department from 1962 until his retirement in 1986. He was lifetime member of the VFW and was also a member of the Church of the Messiah, the Hungarian Cultural Society and was a representative for the Forest Park Civic Association. Visitation will be held on Friday June 27, 2025 from 5PM to 8PM at the Advantage by Schoedinger- North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. Roberts funeral service will be held on Monday June 30, 2025 at 12:30PM with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Roberts name to either the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts , 55 E State St, Columbus, OH 43215.
