Robert Hover

Bob Hover, left this world and went to be with his Lord on July 24, 2021. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Boyd and Ella Hover in 1938. He married Norma Hessinger in 1957 and made his home on the westside of Columbus near his childhood home. Together they raised two children, Jeff and Diane. Bob attended the Vineyard Christian Fellowship. Before that, he was a member of Grace Community Church and Burgess Avenue United Methodist Church.

He worked several jobs over the years including Ohio Malleable, Columbus Auto Parts, and Hirshvogel, Inc from where he retired in 2003.

Bob is preceded in death by his late wife, Norma Hover, sisters Marilyn and Kate, several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, Joy, his children Jeff and Lois Hover, Diane and Ken Diggins, Amy and Tom Allen, grandchildren Miranda, Kaleb and Hannah, Holly, Jordan, Paul and Heidi, Gabriele, Margaret, Jeff, Sean, and April and Frank. In addition, he has five great grandchildren, Edmund, Charlotte, Grant, Ezra, and Hailee with another TWO great grandchildren due in 2022, Bob is also survived by is siblings Ken Hover of Kissimmee, Florida, Charlotte Ward of Grove City, Ohio, Phyllis and Charlie VanArsdale of Newark, Ohio and Dorothy and Dave Bolin of Port Richey, Florida

Everybody loved Bob. If you are here celebrating his life, then you loved him. He loved you, too. He loved spending time with you. It didn't matter what you were doing to pass the time: golfing, bowling, sharing jokes, eating, or praying together, he just loved being with you.

The funeral service for Bob will be on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Vineyard Church 3005 Holt Rd Grove City, OH 43123 at 11:30 am with Pastor Christian Root officiating.
