Robert Charles Hursey

Robert Charles Hursey age 70, passed away at home surrounded by his family on December 6, 2009. He was born on the family farm on Sunbury Rd., Westerville, OH on April 2, 1939. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Bob was retired from Julian Speer Mechanical Contractors and was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #189. He was a plumber by trade but a farmer at heart and enjoyed time on his farm in Dresden, OH. He also liked traveling in the Carribean and casino trips where lady luck often smiled on him. He lived well, laughed often and loved much and was proud to have successfully passed on his values of honesty, humor, a good work ethic and loyalty to all of his loving children. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Perry and Sylvia Cavey who lovingly raised him, parents Homer and Margaret Hursey, stepmother Helen Hursey, brothers Mike and Bill Hursey, infant son Daniel. He is survived by loving wife Mollie and former wife Nancy Tompkins, beloved children Valerie Hursey, Vickie Greene, Brenda (Matt) Althauser, James (Brandi) Queener, Elizabeth (Rusty) Mc Comb, brothers and best friends, Dean (Cheryl) Hursey of Lancaster, Jerry (Marianne) Hursey of Johnstown and ten beautiful grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 10AM-12 PM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N.
