Polly, our thoughts and prayers are with you. I am thankful for the opportunity to get to know you and Bob thru the 456th reunions. Bob did a great job as webmaster for our group. He was also the photo guy at some of our reunions. Irene and I thoroughly enjoyed the reunion Bob coordinated at the A.F. museum in Ohio. I already miss the emails he sent out with all the stories, commentaries, jokes he included in them. We have truly enjoyed our 456 reunions. Bob's hard work and dedication has enabled us to get reacquainted with old friends and to meet and make new ones. 
I hope that when my time comes, that I can go out with the dignity, courage, and resolve that Bob did. We know that Bob had a strong, loving, and supportive wife with him thru his illness. His letter showed the love and appreciation he had for you, Polly. May God bless you.

Bob will be remembered for many things; his incredible web site expertise, a proud veteran, a great sense of humor.  But, he will be remembered most of all as being a great friend who will be missed by many, as he left a long legacy of cheerful memories.

What moves through me is a silence; a quiet sadness; a longing for one more email, one more joke or one more expression of concern for America’s future. And while I may not understand why Bob left this earth before anyone was ready to say good-bye, I know that during the short time he touched my life he lived as a man of wisdom and integrity, with a sense of humor, and that he has left me with memories I shall never forget.

Polly, may God be with you.  I was fortunate to have Bob include me in his circle of e-mail friends.  He didn't even know me, but I found a friend via the fellowship of the USAF.  We'll all meet later.  God bless you.

I am sorry that I never had the chance to meet Mr. Bob Justus in person, but it was quite evident from what I knew of him that he was, and is, a very good person.  He was in favour of everything good and decent, while against all which is unwholesome.  In the meantime, though, I shall miss his humour and interesting commentaries....

I never met Bob, except through the Internet.

But, he was  a friend. One I will meet one day at the Final Muster.

He was a man of great humor, great zest for life and passionate about those things he beleived in.

Bob was  a Patriot Warrior, who loved our Republic, and the Air Force, both of which he served with distinction, and honor.

Bob has now been issued his final PCS orders and will await the rest of his Patriot Warior friends.

I served with Bob in the 456 FIS, so sorry to hear of his passing, he will be missed.  A fellow BUCKEYE.  Tom Kline, Gibsonburg, OH.

Bob Justus was a good and generous man.

He taught me about 35mm photography.

He was my room mate for 2 years at the 456th FIS at Castle AFB.

He had a 64 GTO Pontiac "Goat" and took us guys without cars wherever we needed to go.

He taught me an appreciation for Haig & Haig Pinch Scotch.

He was a smart man and knew a lot about a number of topics.

He let me lower him in a F-106 Refer compartment to retrieve a Phillips screwdriver I had dropped and didn't complain when I dropped him.

He took a lot of us to Yosemite on the weekends.

He built the 456th FIS website.

He coordinated 456th Reunions.

He raised funds to get the F-106 at Castle Air Museum

He photographed my wedding.

He came to Memphis when my sister died unexpectedly.

He introduced himself to my young children as the Hobbit (he was 5'1") and they loved him.

He always remembered people's birthdays.

He was sentimental and never said good-bye. It was always, "Until that time".

He was my friend for 45 years and I will miss him.

Until that time, Bob.
