Robert O. Kilgore Jr.

Robert O. Kilgore Jr., age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 10, 2025. He was born on August 8, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Louise (Mueller) Kilgore.

A deeply family-oriented man and a dedicated hard worker, Rob was affectionately known by those closest to him as a "teddy bear with a growl." Beneath a gruff exterior was a man with a gentle and loving heart, whose quiet kindness spoke volumes. He cherished time spent traveling with his family and friends, creating memories that will last forever. His loyalty was also evident in his passions; he was a devoted Ohio State Football fan and served proudly as an usher for 46 years. An avid and accomplished bowler, he achieved the remarkable feat of several perfect 300 games.

Rob will be greatly missed by his wife, Cassie Kilgore; son, Johnathan (Cassandra) Kilgore; adored granddaughter, Isla Kilgore; brother, James (Carol) Kilgore; mother and father-in-law, Penny and Mike Wells; brother-in-law, Jay (Angi) Mentzer; niece and nephews, Brandon Kilgore and Landon and Avery Mentzer; and uncle, David (Margret) Mueller.

Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where an OSU themed tailgate party will follow until 4 PM.
